One of the first freelance UI jobs I had after completing Carnegie Mellon's Entertainment Technology Center was to work on the Blu in its early days. Then, the Blu was experimenting with social currency to determine how it would fit into the landscape of games/social media/and simulators. Now, the Blu is putting its energy into being an underwater VR experience. 
The Challenge
Here are some images of UI elements I worked on while working on the Blu. Here I was exploring both visualizing different aspects and looking at what it would be like to 'collect' and 'share' fish with your friends.
I was also asked to do some work on their website in exploring adding shopping elements, social elements, and banners. Most of these features were purely exploration, as they did not make it into the final experience.
